At the end of 2021, stock market activity ended on a positive note. As such, the index of the Tunis Stock Exchange, Tunindex, recorded an increase of 2.34%, against two years in negative territory, i.e. 3.33% and 2.06% respectively in 2020 and 2019 but with increases of 15.76% and 14.45% respectively in 2018 and 2017.

Activity indicators for listed companies, over the first 9 months of 2021, show overall income up 13% compared to the same period in 2020.

The overall half-yearly result for the first half of 2021, of the 64 listed companies that published their financial statements shows a 40% increase compared to the same period of the year 2020.Out of the 64 listed companies that have published their half-yearly financial statements, 34 have recorded profitable results for the first half of 2021.

The activity indicators of listed companies in the first half of 2021 show an increase in their overall revenues of 15% compared to the same period of the year 2020, to stand at 9.5 billion dinars against 8.3 billion of dinars.

At the end of 2020, stock market activity closed on a slightly unfavorable note with a Tunindex down 3.33%, comparable to its performance during 2019 with a drop of 2.06%, but against increases of 15.76% and 14.45% respectively in 2018 and 2017.

The overall result for 2019 improved by10.1% compared to 2018, reaching a total of 2,173 MD versus 1,974 MD. This result is representative of 65 of the 81 listed companies.

The activity indicators of listed companies in the first quarter of 2020 show a virtual stagnation in their overall income (-0.48%) compared to the same period of 2019

The activity indicators of companies listed in the first half of 2019 show an increase in their overall income of 10.6% compared to the same period of 2018, to reach 9.1 billion dinars against 8.3 billion of dinars.
